In PART 1, I told you guys about our amazing trip to Dubai Parks and Resorts and we talked about
- Lapita Hotel
- Riverland Dubai
- Motiongate Dubai
So now let’s talk about the remaining three parks.
LEGOLAND DUBAI
Legoland Park requires more than a day on its own, as its HUGE – with over 40 rides with a mix of indoor and outdoor attractions! It’s divided into 6 themed lands but we were only able to visit 3 of them (and we didn’t even do all the rides in those 3 lands!)
MINILAND
This was by far my most favourite part of the Legoland. It is an indoor area that features Dubai’s iconic skyline and key landmarks from around the Middle East with some interactive fun for the kids as well. It was fascinating to see an entire city made out of Lego bricks – with a working Metro, and Dancing Fountains along with the Lego Burj Khalifa.
LEGOCITY
Lego city was fun for the little ones with rides like a Boating School, a Driving School, a Rescue Academy, a Sea Port and much much more.
ADVENTURE
We did a couple of rides here but the kids loved the Submarine Adventure the most, where they actually went in a submarine and saw real Sharks and Lego Mermaids and Divers too! It was so cool, even I enjoyed it!
Other than these themed lands, there are 3 more (which are on our list for next time!)
- Lego Factory
- Imagination
- Kingdoms

LEGOLAND WATERPARK
Now, who doesn’t like water parks?(No one, right?) And that too, a water park based on Lego theme, with a Build A Lego Raft Lazy River?
We were at the resort for 3 days and we went to Legoland Water Park EVERY DAY at the end of the day to cool off! The kids loved the Wave Pool, the Family Raft Slide, Joker Soaker Play Area, Build a Boat and lots of other Water Slides.

BOLLYWOOD PARKS
Confession time – This was my (not so!) hidden agenda behind booking this entire holiday! I am a big Bollywood movie fan and wanted to see what this park was all about. This is the FIRST park in the world which is based on Bollywood movies and I LOVED it!
After tiring the kids out at the waterpark, we left them at the hotel with our nanny and went to Bollywood parks (it’s open till 10:00 pm). As you enter the park, you feel you have stepped into India, with street food stalls, Filmi posters, Filmi merchandise stores and Bollywood songs blaring on the streets. I absolutely loved the vibe of this place!

The park has 4 functional thrill rides – Lagaan, Sholay, Ra.One and Krrish (Don – the chase begins, is not open yet)
LAGAAN had a Carnival Carousel as well as a 4D roller coaster called the Thrill of Victory and it was AMAZING!
SHOLAY – The Hunt for Gabbar Singh
The entire setup is so authentic that you will be transported in that movie, with ‘Basanti ka tanga’, the iconic ‘Pani ki Tanki’ from the top of which Veeru delivered the speech to Mausi, and the staff dressed as Jailers! It was just so exciting for me! (lol). The ride was a 3D ride in a car, trying to kill Gabbar Singh as you move through various animated scenes of the movie!
RA.ONE and KRRISH Rides
Both of these rides are 4D simulators and you actually feel that you are with these superheroes. The Krrish ride is definitely the BEST of them all! You feel you are flying along Krrish on a rescue mission! Amazing effects!
If you ask me frankly, I would rate them in this order (although I have heard that the Don ride will be the BEST one – so definitely on my to-do list!)
- Krrish
- Lagaan
- Sholay
- Ra.One
Other than these Thrill rides, there are other movie-themed shows like Dabangg (a live stunt show) and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (a live stage show), but we didn’t have enough time to see any of them! (On my to-do list as well!)
There is a zone which is a replica of a Mumbai street, with Victoria Station Cafe and various dance performances being performed on top on the train called Mumbai Express Stage. And of course, the performances included some leg shaking on Chayya Chayya!
In the centre of the park is the very grand Raj Mahal Theatre, which hosts the region’s first, Broadway-style Bollywood musical Jaan-e-Jigar! (We didn’t have the time to watch the show)
It was a short trip but quite a magical Filmi journey!

Friends, this is a MUST visit destination! Fun for the entire family and I would highly recommend staying at the resort – it was much easier and a much economical option rather than buying individual Park tickets, especially if you don’t live in Dubai.
And guess what, there is also a SIX FLAGS THEME PARK under construction in Dubai Parks and Resorts! (woohoo!)
Would I go again? Hell, YES!
Though some of the rides are indoors, there is still a lot of walking to do and I would recommend doing it in the cooler months.
We have already started to plan our next visit, you should too!
A Photo Tour to the Dubai Parks and Resorts – COMING SOON!
Stay tuned!
