Yep, my lil one is FIVE! (MashaAllah!).  It’s crazy how time flies and these little people running around me remind me now and again!

So for his 5th birthday I didn’t plan or throw a big party, but instead, we spent some quality family time at the lovely Farmer’s Brunch at The Ritz Carlton Doha.

The Farmer’s Brunch is a themed Friday brunch at the Lagoon Restaurant with a brilliant concept of Farm to Table. It features healthy food stations and international cuisine selection in support of local farming. So without me further going on about what it is, let me take you on a visual journey.You enter the gates of the barn and you are transported to  the most cute setting that would remind you of a simple farm and makes you feel right at home – especially with kids (fancy places with kids make me very nervous! lol!)The lovely staff at the Ritz Carlton had done a cute setup for the birthday boy with a cake and a card and his reaction was priceless! There is a lovely outdoor area along with indoor seating and that was just perfect for the beautiful winter afternoons in Doha. The live music and activities for the kids including balloon twisting, face painting, arts and crafts and a bouncy castle,  just made the experience fun for the whole family.

And of course, how can there be a Farmer’s Brunch with no farm animals? My kids especially loved the Pony ride.

Now how can we forget the food? Some of my favourites are photographed below but these are not all! There was something for everyone, especially loads of options if you are health conscious!

It was a wonderful afternoon well spent with family, which ended with lots of warm hugs and cuddles! My husband and I enjoyed a relaxed afternoon, had a good meal while the kids had a blast! (such a rare combo!).

Needless to say, the kids didn’t want to come back! If you are looking for a relaxed environment for a Friday brunch with kids, I would highly recommend it.
