And here is the Part 3 of our Srilanka holiday. If you have missed Part 1 or Part 2, I suggest you read them first before you move to Part 3
Part 3 covers the last 4 days of our trip and as much as the resort we stayed in was beyond gorgeous.. I had a traumatic experience with lizards and geckos all around (I have a phobia and cannot co exist in a room with a lizard – I weep!)

Day 11: Pool Day and an evening flight back to Doha.
The drive from Dambulla was about 5 hours long but a very scenic route..and all we wanted to do after reaching there was to relax by the pool and the beach, which is all what we did in Trincomalee.
Jungle Beach by Uga Escapes is an absolutely stunning resort by the coast and the entire hotel is made around its natural environment and actually feels like a huge tree house!Everything from the room (a private villa), with an outdoor shower was amazing except for the fact that they rooms are not well sealed and the lizards make their way in and out. I mean, I knew that its a “Jungle”, and am okay with the creatures outside of my room.. but I cannot deal with them inside my room, specially when you are paying that much for a room.
If geckos don’t bother you, then its definitely a resort to experience with excellent service! They even put up with my crazy panic attacks and deep cleaned our room twice, but then the lizards came back in!We stayed at the resort during our entire stay there and enjoyed and relaxed by the pool or the beach.

This was basically the part of the trip where we didn’t want to leave the resort and just relax after all the traveling and exploring Srilanka and this resort is just perfect for that.

We were actually suppose to stay three nights here before heading to Negombo, but unfortunately had to cut it short after two sleepless nights with the geckos (right on the ceiling on top of our bed)
We checked out a day earlier and went to Negombo which is close to the airport, where we stayed for a night before catching our flight back home. We stayed at Amagi Aria, which was a very basic but decent hotel.
And that’s a wrap to our memorable holdiday in this beautiful country.
Srilanka is a MUST visit place and if you haven’t read my reasons for visiting it, read them here.
