Lassi, is a traditional Pakistani yogurt based drink…our very own desi smoothie. And Mango Lassi is an ALL time favorite of everyone in the family! My mum always made us have a glass on Lassi at sehri,as Lassi/Yogurt actually helps control the thirst.
Ramzan in summer brings a lot of thirst (while fasting, and more than hunger its the thirst that drains you)…and summer brings mangoes.. so just combine the two and viola! Mango Lassi – A perfect solution!!
Mango Lassi
Makes 2 cups Download Recipe Card
- 1 Cup diced ripe Mangoes (or you can use the ready made pulp)
- 1 Cup fresh Yogurt (plain)
- 1/2 Cup Milk (chilled)
- 1/2 Cup Ice cubes
- 2-4 tbsp. Sugar (to taste , depends on how sweet the mango is..)
- a pinch of Salt
Blend until smooth. Adjust the consistency as you like with milk or water. Garnish with pistachios and serve.
