A very happy Valentines day to all of you and your loved ones! I know, we can celebrate love any day and everyday (like Mothers’ day or Father’s day), but having a day assigned to celebrate is just a reminder of the love you share with your loved ones..

Today is a national holiday in Qatar – NO – not for valentine’s day but its the National Sports Day(which falls on the 2nd Tuesday of February). Coincidentally, this time it fell on 14 Feb – which is perfect because of two reasons. Firstly the weather is all cloudy.. rainy.. which is rare for Qatar and always welcomed with love in this desert and secondly we are going to a family brunch with the kiddos. It’s the Family kinda love for us!

We are not the “going on a date night on Valentine’s day” type couple, who would specially go out on Feb 14, though this time I am. But this time my date isn’t my husband.. it’s my 8 year old daughter! We are going to Paint The Town Qatar‘s event tonight! Looking forward to a fun evening with the girl who taught me the meaning of true selfless, unconditional kinda love!
