AL SHAQAB, member of Qatar Foundation, will again be hosting the worlds premiere 5-star show jumping event, the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) and Global Champions League (GCL) finale this November 9th – 11th. LGCT Doha, will be the final stage of the 15-leg 2017 circuit that has seen thrilling sport in 14 other cities.

Apart from the fact that the biggest stars in show jumping will be present, this year marks the the 25th Anniversary of AL SHAQAB which was founded by His Highness the Father Emir and hence there will be a special celebration during the championship.
Spectators will be able to personally witness Olympic, National and European Champions compete alongside Qatari riders, including Sheikh Ali bin Khalid Al Thani and Bassem Hassan Mohammed – both of whom were part of the show jumping team that represented Qatar in the Rio Olympics last year.

This year AL SHAQAB has included fun-filled recreational activities so the whole family can enjoy. There is a great line-up of activities such as pony rides, jumping castles, horse riding simulator, face painting and roaming magician are some of the family friendly activities at this year’s LGCT Doha. There will also be Qatari traditional games as well as virtual reality sets to experience both traditional and modern activities.
